Mounting lights on the bumper

im looking into getting a set of fog lights and id like to mount them on the top of the front bumper, my question is what is the most depth the light can have before i have to cut into the grille? id like to get some hella ff1000 but i dont think they would fit. if anyone has that set-up please let me know how it fits.

i was originaly thinking of getting the hella 500's they look like good lights, but i can get a deal on some hella ff1000 for only 25 bucks more. no one out there has a set of them?

So what i gather from the search ( Thanks by the way ) is that the gains from the ff1000 will be minimal since the wattage is the same.. and id be better off getting the hella 500 that fit better and possible switch to a higher wattage bulb if i thought i needed to.....?

Hella 500s are real nice lights. They work great on the front bumper of our 4runners. I guess pickups are the same to. Are you gonna go with driving or fogs?

i tihnk im going to get a set of the driving lights and also get a set of the oval optilux lights in fog. does anyone know a good place to shop online in canada?

any other sugestions for a canadian plcae? i e-mailed them and their price is the same as any other place like lordco. has anyone dealt with realtruck? they seem to have some decent deals on their site.

i ended up getting a set of hella 500 driving lights, clear rock guards, and a set of pia 1700x fog lights for $179. shiped to canada. the piaa's are on sale for $19 bucks
