PROBABLY not, but it could cause it to idle poorly & die a lot.

And hopefully now you'll test parts BEFORE replacing them.

+1 for timing being off.

bring the crank pulley to the zero mark on the timing pointer and pull the valve cover and check your cam timing. Make sure the rockers for the number one cylinder are off lobe that way you know it is on compression stroke. If everything lines up on compression stoke your timing as far as the chain goes is all good

Btw what was your compression readings?

dude, you have to start on the basics, did you have spark? did you have fuel pressure? did you check your compresion and timing chain marks? one of this things is missing, when you found which one is we can isolate that area and do a more specific diagnostic.

If all that is there only leaves timing issues

If the clutch and AC switches are off, the ECU is not receiving the IDL signal from the TPS. If the TPS is new, it's probably not adjusted correctly.

AC meaning Air Conditioning? and clutch switch meaning the one that requires you to not push the clutch in to start it?

That goes onto the bolt that's for the Grab Hook on the drivers side of the cyl head. Might also be on the very back where the EGR cooler plate is, but it doesn't matter. Put a connector on it and put it on a bolt that attaches onto the head (not the valve cover) .

ground that sucker. If that doesnt work I say its TPS.... Or timing.....or... vacuum issue. Try starting it with some throttle.
