Hi guys, my drivers side mirror housing is getting quite loose. there used to be kind of a detent stock position and that seems to have disappeared. I see how to get the mirror off the truck (FSM). Any tips on how to get the inner cover off without boogering it up? Most importantly, once the mirror is off is there any method of tightening the swivel mount?

You can get cheap new mirror assemblies at Amazon for $10-$20. And the interior cover to get at the bolts easily breaks, I hotglued it back on when I did the cheapy replacement.
