was out crawling on some rocks yesterday when out of know where the check engine light come on at first i didn't think anything of it tell i noticed a major power loss was hardly able to get it home, so my friend said he new how to check engine codes and it comes up as MAF so what im wondering is if anyone else has had this problem as well any info would be greatly appreciated thank

 

air flow meter huh? good luck finding a new one, salvage yard, cl. i would check the plug first if its loose or broken. on my old 22re i had lost the little wire clip and it would fall off time to time

 

well i went to the junk yard and got one put it on started it up and its still got the same problem cuts out and bogs down bad real bad but it idles fine, wonder if anyone else has had a similar problem with there 22RE??????????????

 

conclusion there is like 5 to 10 wires to that plug for the MAF, well one of the wires had broke i finally found it wired it back up turned it on and no check engine light and the power is back thank goodness hope this will help someone if they have similar problems like this
