Low idle after idling for a long time

Hey guys I'm pretty new here I usually just read posts. Anyways I have a 92 xcab 4wd 22re pickup. I have replaced the radiator, fan clutch, pulled the water pump which turned out fine. My problem just like title is after idling with the aircon on for a lengthy period of time my idle drops from about 900 rpm to about 450. Its not overheating because the temp gauge needle is a lil bit away from the middle point. Im stooped because ive changed all the items i thought would cause the low idle. My thermostat works i couldnt find a 2 stage item so i drilled some holes on the edge. What do you guys think is happening and what the problem is? Thanks in advance.

dont know if this is true but i have heard it is bad to let a motor idle for a long time because the CAT will clog up faster

im catless. and the cat will overheat thus causing the area under it to catch fire.

This happens on both my old 95 and now my 92.. I think its probally fairly normal....

as far as idling with the cat, the exhaust isnt very hot so the cat isnt working properly, and the excess fuel isnt being burnt, its just clogging it up.... now stopping and idling after a while yes the cat is very hot, but will probally have to be touching anything to catch it on fire..i.e. tall grass or something..
