Loosing Oil??

i run 20-50 normally but on the first 500 miles after bottom end or head work i run 10-30 and always valvoline and yeah i change oil at 500 miles past any internal work and during that time i ck for loose bolts and crap i overlooked or stuff that loosened up
i will always burn some oil in the first 3K but like i said i have seen it take up 2 8K

you can try to put some a/c die in oil and look around for the neon green color a black light really makes it shine but if you are loosing oil and its not leaking its burning so u haven't broken it in yet or rings are not in right maybe upside down

did you offset the rings when you installed them?

i have torn the yoters down so Manny times also my dad has ben a wrench my hole life and owns a shop in San Diego that i managed for 2 years before i moved out to AZ so i got to learn a lot growing up but I'm all over the form because I'm sick so just hanging out on comp i have posted like 6o times since yesterday hahah

hope you didnt install the ring up side down.. did you stager (off set each set of rings)
