loose oil dipstick...

The engine oil dipstick has always had a very loose fit into the dipstick tube, even the 86 model i had did the same thing so i always figured it was a yota thing. Is this a normal thing for yotas ? It drives me nuts lol

no, there sould be an o ring on it that seals it or a rubber grommet made on the dip stick.

I have the same problem. What I did is just put the dipstick in as normal, then turned it about 180 degrees causing it to lock against the power steering pump... keeps it from moving around. It was either that or get a new dipstick.
