Loose Clutch Fork and a blown slave cylinder
Hello! My clutch pedal soft on me (still sprang back) in 2nd gear so I flipped her around and went back home... followed the line from the master cylinder to the slave cylinder, which was completely blown and leaking. I took the boot off the clutch fork, which was really loose, I doubt it's clipped in within the bell housing. What do you think could have caused this? I'm set to drop the transmission Sunday to replace the clutch, maybe the fork just came unclipped? Is this one of those things where you have it out so you may as well change it (clutch) or should I ride it til it dies (if it hasn't already?)

i would change the slave clyinder and see if u can get a light and see why the fork feels so loose. might of just poped out and needs to be repushed in and it will be fine and u dont need to do your clutch. only reason i would do it is if it is slipping on u.

Cool, I wasn't entirely sure how the fork stayed in, I though there was a clip or spring around it, but if all it needs is pushed back in that'd be pretty great!

have u tried to see if u can use a screw driver and turn out the piece still in the housing. i know in some places i have been able to turn them out cause there is no pressure on the bolt and it turned out freely..

i think my truck's got something going on similar to your situation. wondering if you might have taken any pics of how that fork clips in under there? i'm assuming you had to drop the tranny to get access, but what else is involved?
