Cannot figure out what this thing is, can't find it on any diagram anywhere. Please Help! I have a 1990 pickup 3vze 4×4 with MT Xcab

Welcome to YotaTech.

I assume you're talking about the A/C idle-up control. http://web.archive.org/web/201102052...24vacuumsw.pdf

(Learn how to use Microsoft Paint. You can draw outlines, lines, arrows, text .... on photos. Otherwise we're all guessing what we're supposed to be looking at.)

This is the part I am talking about. Is this the a/c control you mentioned? In the link you provided, the diagram doesn't seem to be showing a photo of this part.

you might want to study that linked page a bit more, so that you can determine what the line drawings are showing on a real engine. the top diagram CLEARLY shows the a/c idle up control (actuator) or in toyota-speak - diaphragm sub-assembly, idle-up actuator

ok I see it now. I got confused about the air cleaner line. The reason for the thread was to figure out what that part is and also if my lines were connected correctly. I found that they are connected right. I also seen that the air cleaner line it refers to goes up and under the intake manifold, that is what I was confused on about the diagram. Anyways thank you all for the good help and references, I do appreciate it a lot.
