the only real rust spot




now im looking for possible ideas to do after i get the headgaskets fixed and if i decide to keep it.

Don't fix the gaskets........start looking for a 3.4

Pretty sweet deal. Congratulations...I have to echo the previous poster who said look for a used 3.4 I saw some pretty good (sounding) deals on eBay a few days ago.

Chop the rear roof area out , sas , 3.4 , regear & lock , desert camo paint , front rear bumpers and winch.
Just a few ideas for ya to think about

yes, it does run. it just blows the coolant out the overflow after it gets warmed up. i figure i can fix it for between 3- 4 hundred. if the wife wants to keep it we are thinking painting it silver and fixing it up. if not we are going to get it running and flip it and keep the money. probably use some of the profits to do some more mods on my truck. anyone have a 3.4 for sale. how much would it cost for a swap? cause i can fix the 3.0 for pretty cheap.

Dude, might want to check the frame. My old tacoma was exactly like that, had one rust spot like the one by your window.

frame looks pretty rust free. never been wrecked that i can tell either.
