Longer Pintle cap vs. spray pattern

Bought an injector o-ring/rebuild kit on ebay a while back, And the pintle caps are longer than the factory green ones and transparent charcoal colored. They fit just as snug diameter wise, but they do not sit flush on orifice face of the injector. Being there function is heat shield i thought it would be fine, but I gotta ask, would them being just a very small amount longer interrupt fuel delivery/pattern??

I've been tearing it up all day on my Bike so the ass dyno could just be uncalibrated but my truck seems slower than normal and i'd expect it to be much better with all the cleaning, seals, and vacuum leaks i just got done fixing.

If you have 22RE injectors, it will make a difference since they have a V-shaped spray pattern. If 3VZE, doesn't matter at all since those just shoot a straight stream. Which is why some of us on here bought the spray-patterned injectors from Flamethrower.
