lockright arrived, parts missing!

so my lockright finally showed up yesterday, and you can imagine my rage when i opened the box and saw this. two outer halves of locker missing, shipping weight on label only 2.5 lbs.
ordered it from central4wd.com, now i have to wait until they open to try and resolve this with customer service.
i thought i remebered this same thing happening to someone else here on yt, but couldn't find the thread...

Are you sure it's not just a two-piece shipment?

I don't think it would be a two piece shipment, only received one tracking number and the box is half empty. the tape on the inside box was cut before i opened it...

sounds like postal theft.

Contact Central4wd, and if they say they shipped it complete, then call up the shipper (UPS, etc)

Positive indicator that you suffered postal theft: Weigh the box, and if it's less than 2.5lbs (which it should be, if parts were stolen).

Yep there should be a cardboard divider in the box with the rest of the parts on top of the divider. I wouldn't really suspect postal theft unless they took all of it. Half of a locker isn't really of much use to someone unless they just happened to have a broken locker at home and recognized the part number on your box.

And then even if it was theft, they surely would have taken the bag of springs and pins as this is the most common failure...

I'm going to guess the shipper didn't check the contents of the box or got one out of the return pile or something...

That sucks dude... Should have ordered from PORC.

my bad... this version re-uses the original side gears, which I didn't realize. every other pic I've seen for these style lockers shows the whole thing, so I assumed I had parts missing.

how come nobody else picked up on that?
