locking hubs

I have a 1993 toyota 4x4 pickup with manually locking hubs. After a recent use of 4WD one hub won't go all the way back to the "free " position. what is my problem?

They are simple just tear into it. I just had this problem and took it apart and reassembled it and greased it up, works fine now, not sure what was wrong but I assume greasing it helped as it was old dryer grease in there.
I watched this
and jumped in.

That video is well-done! Tnx Naked Runner for sharing. Seeing it done on video helps make the tasks less daunting. Will do this on mine soon.

The first time I did hubs it was about a 5-6 beer job. Now its about a 2 beer job. Really straightforward just take your time and be organized. The last part if my struggle.
