Lock cylinders

Hello to all. So found a decent 88 4 runner. Will pick it up on Saturday. The owner currently starts it with a screwdriver. So I know I will be needing a new ignition cylinder and key. Easiest way to rekey to same key? Do they make complete sets?
thanks

1988 should have K series locks. You can still get Toyota ignition locks from the factory, but they superseded the part number to the S series, which means you'd have two separate keys. Not the end of the world, but kind of a pain. You can either try to source a kit that has all five locks, or score a used ignition lock that's the same series as your other locks and rekey.
Hopefully the housing the lock slides into hasn't been damaged by the lock being forcibly removed.
