a little BC IFS wheeling pics and vids

The guys I went with felt the area was getting too much wheeling traffic, but suffice it to say its on the BC coast.

There were a couple Jeeps all with 33x12.5r15+ mud terrains tires, lifts and some with lockers. There was one build 1984 Toyota pickup, who walked it all also, one 4Runner on 33x9.5R15s with no lockers. My truck seemed to have less trouble climbing compared to the unlocked Jeeps and the other 4Runner despite the smaller less aggressive tires and less lift.

Tonnes of fun, barely spun a tire the whole climb and never got stuck anywhere, my slightly tweaked IFS is doing rather well IMO.

Cargo ratchet strapped, then netted. It didn't shift an millimeter while wheeling.

First obstacle, a 10' deep ditch, 25 feet across.

Picking my line

Our destination, an abandoned Bible camp that hadn't been used in 25 years

probably stopped ticking in the early 80s... it was kind of weird to imagine how time had stood still since.

Spooky message FAIL

We spent the night.

Blantent poser shot

This is what happens when you carelessly hit a foot tall boulder that you thought you'd clear at 10km/h. We'd already cleared all the tough stuff with no trouble.

better stuff to come, on the way back up, i had more people to video and spot, so my spotter didn't have to do double duty.

A couple guys did it open, but they had a tougher time and risked breaking parts more often IMO. I walked the uphill sections.

Ouch, looks like the stock skid could have helped with that one. Looks like a good time, thanks for posting!

For sure. We had a lot of fun. I was surprised how easy the trail was with 31" A/Ts. When these wear out, its 33x10.5s. For just a little more clearance.
