a while back the hinge/Latch on my triangle window on the driver's door broke. Does anyone know off hand if the dealer sells a new latch/bracket for the window, and how do i install a new one?

 

I think it is pressure fit.
it may be easier to just replace the triangle window as a whole off a junker.

 

I have a few spare ones. I'll rummage through the garage tomorrow if it's not too cold to see what i got. $10+ shipping sound good? (btw 84-88/9 right?)

When I bought my '86 4Runner the knob on the window was off, like yours, and I went to the dealer and priced one. There are a few parts and they cost around $100.00. Plan B was to go to a junkyard and get another triangle window with the knob still on.

Before you go to the junkyard you may want to read up on how to remove the triangle window. It will be easier to remove if you know in advance what needs to be done.

 

Thanks for the help. I figured from the dealer it would be too effin much. There is one junkyard in town that is worth calling and they only have one toyota. I guess thats a good sign eh?
