Light bulb for a/c indicator button?
Hey all, trying to source the a/c indicator light bulb for the 84-88/89 trucks/4runner but cant seem to find it. Does anyone know the part number and/or place I can order one from?

Is it the same switch as the '91? I had the same issue. The switch worked but no light. Replaced it with this:
It was a little tighter fit but it worked for me.

The Toyota parts diagrams ( that I have found anyway) do not show the bulb itself for the A/C button, just the whole switch assembly.
Chances are good that Toyota used the same bulb in other switches or applications, but I have no idea which ones.

For my '92, the LED replacement bulbs (edit: for illumination only) that fit in my switches are size T3 and looked like this:
I am sure you can also find regular T3 bulbs if you don't want LED, I found the LEDs on eBay.

Paul22RE: Those bulbs are to illuminate the switch when you turn on the headlights. (On my '94, I have a T1 size bulb, but it looks like your bases will fit and so the bulb size doesn't matter.)
if I8URSVT is asking about the indicator bulb, so far as I can tell it's a built-in LED and can't be replaced separately.

Wow, i was just about to post/search this same question about the indicator bulb.
second, how do you remove the switch, or panel? If i can get to the led, i’ll try to fix it.

The switch just pops out in my 92 without removal of anything, but maybe because the tab for the electrical connector in the back is missing? I double-checked, Scope103 is correct: the T3 bulb is just for illumination of the switch, the tiny green "on" light is internal and does not appear to be replaceable. Best to just find a used switch on eBay.

the light im referring to is green button in photo. I believe it is specific to 84-88(89) pickups and 4runners. You have to pull the front of the dash off to access it (At least I did). Hoping someone has a part number or source to get the bulb. I pulled the bulb out before, so i know it can be replaced by itself.

Well, one COULD try the dealer.

I'm not familiar with your vintage truck, so I don't know if there is an illumination bulb distinct from the indicator bulb.
