Lift compatibility

I said I wasn't gonna go any bigger but I've already changed my mind so..

Found a deal on a lift from an 88 4runner. As far as I can tell it should work with a 92 pickup right? The things that are making me wonder is my truck is a regular cab and I saw one company had different lifts for regular cabs and one for 4runners/ extended cabs. What exactly is the difference?
Also saw that same company had different blocks for the rear end of just regular cabs. If that's the only difference then id be okay as I plan to get lift leaf springs here soon anyway.
Just wanted to double check with some more experienced folks before I go buy it.

Also what's recommended tire size? 33X12.50 or 35x12.50? I've got 4.88s, but is that pushing it with 35s?

Front- everything should swap over easy peasy.

Rear - The 88s rear springs are 48" while yours are 51". But blocks/shackles should be interchangeable.

2nd gen runners however, have coil springs in the rear, and thats why you are seeing that listed differently.

Cant think of why a ex cab would be different from a standard cab though.

4.88 should be fine for either 33 or 35s. What size lift would you be getting from the 88?

Oops thought I included that, its a 4" lift.

So all and all I should be alright. That's awesome

Alright I picked up my lift. Got everything except the u bolts.

Anyone have any idea how much I'm looking at to have it installed? Wish I could do it myself but I just don't have the time off or the place.

If your handy, you can do it over a weekend in a driveway. Other than that, It should take a shop a few hours to install it.

Yeah I was kind of wondering about that. Hopefully I can find one. If not I'll just wait until work slows down a little.

hah! have it installed... I did a lift on my old truck in gravel on the side of my parents house when I was in grade school. Just find somewhere where your parts wont get stolen and you will be fine. I wrench on my rigs after work in the dark mostly...

4" lift is good for 35x12.50... 33s look small on that big of a lift. 4.88s are good for gearing as well.

Okay okay. Honestly how hard are these to install? The zuk mod and bj spacers is the extent of my experience in this department. I'm not completely helpless, just inexperienced.
Should me and a buddy be able to knock it out on a Sunday?

Should be able to do it in a day. But, what are you using for the rear, blocks?

You'll need an alignment soon after.

Blocks for a month or two, until i buy new leafs. Guy in town does alignments for $40, so I don't ever mind that too much.

Weird story with them little suckers. I meant to update my build thread on those. I did get them in, unfortunately my truck didn't want to cooperate, so they were passed on to a work buddy. They worked great for him until his truck threw a rod through the block. This was all in about a two week time period. So he swears those injectors are cursed now haha
