Leaking master cylinder.

Keeping things in check with my 88 I noticed I have a leaking master cylinder, problem is I kind of need the truck. Is there a chance for a complete blow out of the seals?

I ordered one from wab fab online, and also ordered the braided brake line kit. Which I think is for lifted trucks, it didn't cross my mind till I ordered the set of three. Now I think they maybe too long 26", or maybe someone can let me know how to safely coil the slack.

I already rebuilt the front calipers and rear wheel cylinders and replaced the pads, rotors and drums. After this I shouldn't have to invest in the brakes for while. Time to get to work

I decided not to drive till fixed, too risky. Now the 26" brake lines I may need a solution so they won't get snagged while driving.

Ok finally received the parts today and I just finished a test ride. I'm not sure if it is the steel braided flex lines or the new master cylinder but I have lot better braking, very precise and responsive. It took about 4 hours of work by myself with the help of a vacuum bleeder and some difficulties installing the new flex lines. Because they were much longer than the original, I had to make sure they were not binding or chaffing against the suspension parts. The MC had the flare fittings on the left side instead of on top but the hard lines were flexible enough to make it work without getting pinched. The only thing not complete is the brake fluid sensor which has a different plug. I will just spice the right connector to the old wires, that should do the trick.

Just want to say thanks to Wab Fab for making a great product, 2 weeks to get the parts was a long wait, but I think I am happier than going with auto chain store parts. :wabbit2:
