Certain drugs may cause anal leakage. Ask your passenger if they are on any medication. Side effects are usually written on the container or ask your pharmacist.

If the symptoms continue I would encourage them to see a doctor. It's definitely something to take serious. Good Luck!

Thanks everyone, I drained the old and put in new gear oil. Was a little low but didn't seem to bad. Gonna keep an eye on it for now till I have time to get in there and repace it. Looks like i'll have to replace the brake line too if I take the axel out

Dont wait to long, usually the bearing going bad is what blows the seal. If you ride it to long you will wear the outer race on the axle shaft down and then bearings will only last a couple weeks then blow out again and the obvious, NEW AXLE SHAFT...

So the bearing and the gasket need to be replaced?! I thought just the gasket.... I've been keeping an eye on it for the past week and have not seen ANY fluid running out yet. Sounds like I have to take the axle into a shop to have the bearing pressed in and out?

Well I pulled out the axle and it spun fine but there was a little bit of wiggle up and down between the axle and the rest of the (axel assembly?). So my question is: is there suppose to be any wiggle or no? I'm guessing the bearings gonna have to get repaced.

Parts I think im gonna need from RockAuto...

1. BECK/ARNLEY Part # 0522086
Rear Inner $3.35

2. BECK/ARNLEY Part # 0522201
Rear Outer $3.55

3. BECK/ARNLEY Part # 0513350
Rear $34.79 (They have some listed as inner or outer but I think this is what I need)

I plan on taking it to a shop since I don't have a press an I would like to supply them with these parts...they look right??????

Thanks for all the help!!!

Well I was able to get the bearing off after reading one of the articles and replaced both gaskets. Also, replaced and bleed the brake line going to the rear passenger wheel. Filled the Diff. and added hoses to the differential vents. Took some time getting the old bearing off but not to bad. Took her around the block and everything seems allright. I'll put on a few miles and check for leaks again.

Best part is...it was under $50!!
Thanks again for the help

Ya if my passengers rear is leaking that usually is a tell-tale sign of way too much to drink the prior evening. Regardless, they gotta get the F out and walk.
