leaf springs

I'm sorry if this is a newb question that gets asked a lot, but if I was to purchase the 3inch leaf springs from trailgear.com:

http://www.trail-gear.com/leafsprings.html

would I need anything else, like new shocks? Or would I only need to buy the front and rear leaf springs and just intall them and be good to go. Keep in mind, my 95 4runner has complete stock suspension right now. I got rear end sag and shizz.

Also, are they difficult to install?

there should be alot of info about that on here or on tg site. but ill give you a little info. most tg springs are not bolt in, they are longer than stock and require new hangers to be welded to the truck. you should also get new shocks. that is the reason they sell a KIT it comes with what you need. do a little searching and you will find the rest of your answers

Since your '95 Runner doesn't have a leaf spring suspension to start with, it's a lot of work (and money) to be able to use these leaf springs. You'd be cutting your entire suspension off, front and rear, and welding on a bunch of new parts. For the front end you'll need this: http://www.trail-gear.com/sas.html and you'll need a front axle from a '79 to '85 pickup or 4Runner. For the rear you'd need this "classic rear lift" with all the spring mounts and shock mounts: http://www.trail-gear.com/rearsuspension.html

Search here for "SAS" or "solid axle swap" for more info.

I'm running that front end kit on my trash, with 3" springs, and I have two complaints: the leaf spring bushings are trash and wear out too fast, and the tie rod ends are trash and wear out too fast.

Those leaf springs are not a bolt in replacement. They require grinding/welding to install.

You need to do some searching and reading from the posts above and see what you really want to do.

Good luck.
