Knock Sensor? HELP
im running a code 12 (knock sensor signal/rpm signal), could this cause my 4runner 3.0 v6 to lose alot of power. been going on for a while now and getting worse. for example, leaving for work this morning, i have to floor it in first gear and shift once my rpms hit 3k. once i hit 20mph in second gear i have to floor it again and still dont get power. heres what i did so far, spark plugs n wires, fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator, seafoam, no-vacuum leaks, new cat... the timing and fuel injectors were serviced twice this year by my mechanics since i still have warranty on it. egr was going bad so i blocked it off temporarily. dont know how to clean/check the mafs. never done a compression check before, can someone guide me. ... any help will do

code 12 has nothing to do with the knock sensor....that would be code 52.....and yes, a code 52 would retard timing causing a big loss in power. Code 12 indicates a problem with the dizzy.
12 - No G or NE signal is Input to the
ECM for 2 secs.
or more after STA turns ON.
Trouble area - Open or short in NE, G circuit

thanks team420. sorry if this might sound dumb but whats the G or NE signal? i am however having to start the car after two or three attempts. in sometimes boggs down a little once she fires up but the moment i give it two or three taps at the pedal then it sits fine. today i started it up again and now i see an oil leak. not the typical oil leak due to age but a sudden oil leak while the engine was on. im hoping its just a bad oil pan gasket going bad. anyway about the code 12 u mentioned with it being something to do with the dizzy, any ideas on how i should fix that?..
