Keeping it clean
So Im about to get me clean looking 89 4runner
exibit A:
and well i know imma take it offroad and around here (Miami) that means mudding more than rock krawling. But Ive heard spraying the underside with WD-40 before mudding helps keep the mudd of since its oily it wont stick as much giving me a chance to hose the stuff off. This is gonna be a DD that i will slowly make more and more offroad worthy (did i really just say that bout a yota? I apologize) But i would like to keep it in good condition so keeping MUD as a paintjob is not what i would like to do.

That's a sweet Runner, man.
I hate to burst your bubble but in my experience mudding is one of the worst things for a Yota (or any 4x4).
Mud can get into places you'd never think it would.
On my '95 Runner the rear main seal went out after mudding too much - granted it wasn't completely to blame it didn't help at all.
I don't know about spraying WD-40 on underneath it but I do know up here we have touch-free automatics that have bottom-blasters.
Those work wonders on getting crap off the undercarriage - sometimes it can take a few passes but it does work really well.
Good luck!
P.S. - I moved this out of the "Tips & Tricks" section, that's for site-related tips. Just FYI, no biggie.

Thanx man but for the same price i could have gotten this baby:
http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/cto/1070048020.html
but he is in frisco im alllll the way in Miami but i was really considering making the drive. I mean look at it... wouldnt you!? And i know mudding isnt the greatest but i wouldnt be submergin in it nasty..just going places you know.. i wanna move out west where the trails are more about articulation than just making it across a muddy line. Im going for something like the red 4runner in the LCEngineering ad's:
Simple..but you know its ready for anything...
