Looks good man. How's the battery held down? Is the bottom plate bolted to the truck, then the battery held to the plate?

Very good. It would certainly slide left to right without being bolted down. Ask me how I know. LOL.

I assume you didn't want to try to make the OEM one work?

Looks good dude, one thing I'd have done differently is put the negative side of the battery toward the fender just in case something happens the positive side won't hit anything grounded.

Have you had it on the road yet ?, what was your impression, did you notice any gains in performance or acceleration ?.

just a few local roads, up to 45. it does seem to have better mid-range acceleration. there was an annoying rattle, and i became concerned. after pulling over, i found that i had forgotten to attach most of the wheel-well skirting . i'll let you guys know how it is tomorrow after one of my 100 mile commutes

Right on. I'd just hate to see someone lose their truck to something like that. Although it's not likely, the possibility is there, and that's enough to deter me from running like that.

Much more thorough than mine. I wish I'd documented it back when I did it, like many other things I've done to various other cars!

The biggest concern i have here i the placement of the AFM. Those are some sensitive pieces of equipment there and im not convinced that its gonna run right mounted upside down. Keep us informed.

now ive been reading about the swaps and the one thing im trying to figure out is where ur getting your cold air from? with the stock setup you have a hose going though the radiator support to the air box providing outside air. they way u have it, it looks like its just sucking air from the warm engine compartment.

the bat-intake swap is meant to get colder air, not cold air. a lot of people use this set-up to run a snorkel. it wouldn't do much good to have a snorkel just to run the air behind the radiator. shaeff is planning an engine swap, so he eventually needs to do the b/i swap anyway. i'm doing it to get the colder air. it would be nice to put some sort of retractable scoop
