Intake manifold gasket replaced, now check engine?
Ive had this truck for years, and have tried to wash my hands of doing maintenance and repairs myself.
Anyway, I took the truck in to have an leaking intake manifold gasket replaced. I got the truck back, no leaks! It was great.
I drove about 1.5 miles and my check engine light came on.
Checked everything I knew to check, didnt see anything under the hood wrong, had oil and coolant, wasnt running hot so I headed for home.
It went out.
Drove on and off for a week or so with it coming on intermidantly... When its on the truck is a pooch.
NO power whatso ever.
Read the forums and found how to pull the code.
Code number 52..
Knock sensor...
As far as I can tell, the knock sensors is underneath my intake manifold? I trust I need to pull this to get at it?
Does the symptom of the check engine light illuminating and the power going byby coreralate?
Damn.. and I wanted to go dirtbiking tomorrow.

Yeah......you have to take the manifold off.....both the upper and lower.
It's possible they damaged the wire when they did the job. Or, maybe they didn't even plug it back in. Have you looked?
The ECU cuts power in the event it detects knocking by retarding the ignition timing.

Help!!!
so I just got my Mercedes c230 out the shop yesterday . They did a air intake manifold repair kit, pretty spendy I should say but anyways on the drive to work this morning the check engine light came back on.... I’m just wondering if maybe it takes a few days for the car to know the manifold is a new one or what. Does anyone know? Please help me figure this out before I call other auto place and freak out.
Thank you
Thank you

Welcome to YotaTech. Y-O-T-A-tech.
I wouldn't be completely surprised if someone on this forum knows something about Mercedes, but why would you look here?
Act like you deserve to drive a Mercedes; call the shop and freak out.
