i would say if i had put all the money i have paid in insurance sense i was 16 into an bank account by now i could probably pay for just about any accident short of killing some one that i could have...lol i just estimated i have paid about 21,000 dollars in insurance so far in my life.

progressive is the most expensive insurance you can get. i switched to gieco and saved like 700$ over 6 months. wow that sounds like a commercial. gieco also gives breaks if your in the military that one alone for me was like another 200$ i saved.

I guess I'm lucky. In my province insurance is a government owned crown corp. Everyone pays the same rate regardless of age or previous record. I pay $96/month for my 99 and $38 for my '83. Deductable is $700 unless you get a package policy which is extra coverage/glass coverage for $17 more a month then deductable is $56. Once I mod my trucks I'll get that so they're insured for what I put into them. It's also only $25 a year to renew my license and the company can't make a profit because it's crown owned so if they do it's distributed to the customers. I got $120 for doing nothing last year.

i recently switched to gieco from progressive and saved about 240 every six months basically my payments are about the same but its 5 payments for a 6 month policy instead of 6. in a few more months the accident i had where my jeep that i had at the time rolled into another vehicle when parked and warming up will be over 3 years old so hopefully my rate will drop when i renew my policy again. progressive raised my rates 75 a month for that and there was only a dent a little bigger than a fist on the rear 1/4 of an POS car. i should have just paid to have it fixed i offered the guy to let me just do an paintless repair on it (the dent was not creased and could have borrowed the paintless dent repair tools from a buddy) but he said he wanted it to go threw the insurance.

that is how its set up on all my vehicles other than my f250 powerstroke, but that is because my powestroke books out at over 10k and i still owe about 4500 on it, having 4 vehicles not counting the woman's that she pays the insurance on is what kills me.

I figure that the truck is 16 years old, it has 250k miles...

If something happens.... make it a permanent trailer queen, drop a v8 in it and hall ass around pismo.

funny. But no, the Jeep is worth alot more cause its built up. So its insured for more than its blue book. Thats why it costs so much for such an old vehicle.

im 18 and my parents pay for mine, one moving violation i got for driving in the grass that i went to driving school for though. im not listed as a primary driver on any of the 4 vehicles we have though so its not too bad.

i feel bad for my friend. I was riding in the backseat of his tiburon yesterday and got in a six car pile up(not as dramatic as it sounds, nobody was hurt). Hes 17 and he was responsible for the damage to the car in front of us(a newer civic) and the car in front of that(a pt cruiser, barely damaged though). He has allstate, so unless he has their accident forgiveness(i dont know if they give it to younger drivers?) his rates will skyrocket.

if your young and live with your parents get the insurance under their name. the insurance companies will never know, i crashed my dads truck into a car trying to brake down a steep hill when it snowed last year. truck had no damage gotta love fullsizes but the cars rear was crumpled lol (08 civic, sodacan soft body). my dads insurance went up 5 bucks whoo. my dad was supposed to be the primary operator under his insurance but in reality i was the only person that drove it daily for over a year. if the insurance found out that i drove it daily i would have been screwed (no coverage)
