injectors, when to change?

I am rebuilding my 22re after 200,00+ miles. Should I replace the injectors while the engine is torn apart? If I just need to have them cleaned how do I do that? The engine ran fine, I am rebuilding do to a broken timing chain.

Send them to these guys if you want them cleaned, it's hard to do yourself unless you have an ultrasonic bath. I would think replacing them would be $$$$

definitely see if they can be cleaned or restored, that would be $$$ to replace. definitely worth it if you're in the middle of a rebuild.

I've used both RC and witchhunter.. Both do great jobs.
Witchhunter is a lot easier on the wallet.

i just did a search for 87 22re injectors and found a joint offering them for 170. (http://www.fiveomotorsport.com/Injec...OY.asp#4runner)
then i checked ebay and saw a set that ends in five days, currently at .99 cents.
you could try the Seafoam stuff, so a search for that here and you'll find a lot of endorsements. i haven't used it yet, but i got the can of it in the to-do box.

good luck with that project
