has any one ever had a problem with the injectors not firing? or a good wiring diagram with all the components involved with that system? the truck has been siting for 2-3 years the grounds are good that go to the engine but the only wiring diagram i have isn't vary good. any ideas would be great. thanks

 

Have you checked the fuses to see if there good ?, also check the solenoid resistor, if its bad your truck won`t start.

 

where is the solenoid resistor? all the fuses r good.

 

Usually passenger side fender, looks like a big aluminum heat sink (with the cooling fins).

Also check that you have spark: if the plugs aren't firing, that could indicate an issue with the distributor or igniter, either one of which can cause the injectors to not fire, since the injector firing is based on a signal that is generated by the pickup coil in the distributor and relayed to the ECU through the igniter.

 

When the solenoid resistor went bad on my 4Runner It would only try and start if carb cleaner was sprayed into the throttle body, at first i didn`t know what the solenoid resistor was or what it did, but after checking and trying everything else, i had an extra solenoid resistor that i decided to try just for the heck of it, and to my suprise my truck started right up on the first try.

 

no luck. i replaced the resitor with a good one and still in the same spot. i have spark the truck will run if you dump fuel down the in take. i tryed puting another ground on it and still nothing. i guess i i can do is chase the wires
