Well at least they left the lower bearing on the spindle there for ya! Lolz.

Looks like a stripped down kennesaw mountain bumper (worst company ever).

Looking at the quality of the welds I am thinking garage built/home brew that they used the typical trailer axle pivot....

Unless you can directly match up the bearing race and tube I wouldn't recommend trying to put another one on there. There are a lot of sources for the spindle like.iron pig off road, probably rough stuff etc.
I had a spindle mounted swing out made for my truck but I cut it.off since visibility sucked and I.had heard of multiple failures of.the sprindle

what about vibration & rattling is that common with these tire carriers? i have 33x12.50 15 thats a good sized tire. just wondering for those who do have or have had tire carriers? is it even worth the trouble?

well they are worth it for the fact that you get your tire up from underneath and make more clearance or room for extra fuel/water/air tank, or get it out from inside your rig for more storage space, as well as possibly provide exterior storage for something like a hi-lift jack or fuel cans depending on setup, they look cool, etc etc. everything has a tradeoff though -- rearward visibility decreased, sometimes vibrations, higher COG, more weight at the rearmost point of vehicle, inconvenience of having to swing it out to get into tailgate, heavy tire hard to get on/off carrier, etc.

if it were me, i'd probably cut it off because of unknown type of spindle and possibly not being able to match it up. if you want a new one, just buy one of the spindle kits online, weld it(them) on and fab your swingout(s). if you keep this bumper i would definitely add some more triangulation to brace bumper so it can take a sideways blow since it looks like everything is perpendicular as-is.

another option might be to just sell this bumper and put the cash toward the one you want since it may be easier to go this route vs trying to modify one that wasn't built properly in the first place.

Mine doesn't vibrate. I've also invested $10,00000 into making it work.

Hack it off and start with new stuff.
