I'm new to the forums(new pics)

Well I picked up my first Yota(it's my first vehicle too) Wesnday night. It's a '94 pickup running 31/10.50s. It has 140,000 miles on it, but it a rebuild engine with about 4100 miles on it.

it's a bad pic. I'll get a better one

Sweet. Is this thing stock height? From the picture is looks slightly lifted.

Also, one thing; you posted this in a technical forum. Don't be suprised if a moderator moves this to a different place, as this forum is for technical questions.

Welcome welcome! Sweet looking hilux! I see you lucked out and scored one with the manual hubs already on it. Pics not bad either. Excellent choice for a first vehicle too...take care of her and you may never have to buy another one... until its time for a (yuck) minivan...'course you could always keep her for a second ride...heh heh. Cheers Aviator.

140k is nothing!!

I have 210k on my 96 and it is still kicking!

Prepare to spend copious amounts of money on your rig!

How in the world can you see that. Maybe my eyes are bad, but I can't see the hubs at all.

The red hubs are very distinctive.

Yes it is at the stock height. Well I do have a guestion: to run 35/14.50 would I have to put gears in it? if so what gears? I'm running the 22RE. just for future refence.

thats one of the first things anyone with locking hubs looks for, the little red dial! i saw it right away, nice find! as for the 35's, you will have to regear at one time or other eventually. if you only drive it to the trails and home it probably will be ok. if its your dd, then you will want to do gears sooner than later.

welcome to our little corner of the wheeling world.

I dont know if id run 35/14.50 tires. That 22RE is gonna have a hell of a time turning em. If you run a taller tire, make sure it is a narrow one, rotating mass is 3x it's weight...rough on that little 4 cylinder. I am running 34/10.50 super swamper ltb's and they do great but IMO id stick but a narrow tire

I know runnin big tires is tough on a 4banger. I'll probably just go with 33/12.50s and the engine will by no means be stock. the first I'm getting is going to be a header, intake, throtle body, and a cam, but that is only the beginning.

I think I'm going to get a 4in. lift and run 33/12.50s. for performance to begin with a header, cam, intake, throutle body.
