whenever i do a search on www.car-part.com for an ignitor for my 88 3.0, an ignitor from an 88 MR2 Supercharged always comes up also. Will the ignitor from the car fit my 4Runner? The reason is because there is one for an MR2 closer to me than one for a 4Runner.

Even when you search for an ignitor for an MR2 the 4Runner comes as well in the search.

If they're the same part number, it prolly will fit. It's not uncommon for different models to share engine parts.

Call a dealer and ask their parts guys if it's the same part.
