ignition problem (I think)

my truck is a 1990, v6, 5 speed, 4x4, about 120k, msd 6a ignition, blaster coil, new plugs wires cap rotor in the last 3000 miles My truck runs good when first started, but if I shut it off when warmed up then start it again (drive to store shut off truck come back out start truck) it has a pretty bad miss. Today on the way home from work truck died, i pulled over tried to start nothing waited 5 min truck started right up. About a mile down the road same thing popped the hood no spark (coil wire held next to ground while cranking no spark) waited about 5 min started back up. about ten miles later same thing truck dies pull over no spark but this time it wont start again waited about 30 min. got it towed to my house and now it starts again. any ideas? I noticed that the ignitor gets pretty warm is this normal?

Throw in the OEM spark plug wire back in, heard they work the best and learn it from other here, many people have try many thing but came up back to the OEM wire. I have a performance (hidden name) coil work pretty well, test with my spark tester and it gave out more voltage then the OEM coil. I don't have problem yet on this coil, but I have my OEM coil in the truck in case of this one burn out or over heat as you may think it did. Go back to all OEM, if it run fine then either one is the problem. gL.
