my truck jerked and bucked before the ignitor/coil went DEAD THEN it was no start..just crank.. also would have issue starting in cold or if i left it for a while..

 

Yeah that was my first thought also and I replaced coil-igniter group, I am still suspicious of the signal generator in the distributor if that doesn't send a signal no spark or so I understand. I am trying to find out if that code 6 couldn't be pointing to that.
