That's awesome. A groups of my friends have plans to go there this month but in on the fence about going. Looks muddy this time. I prefer rocks over mud. Won't be long before your sis gets in Toyota. Twin sisters and trucks!!

This thread is here for ifs pics. Not for someone to trash talk it. He has no business running his mouth about ifs flexing. Yeah no duh its not going to get 30" of flex. It doesn't take Einstein to tell ya that. Most of us here run stock ifs so yeah if u see one flex then You have seen them all. What difference does it make. We're not trash talking the straight axle flex people. He needs to keep his nose outa here unless he has something good to say.

Sorry lets get back on topic.

I've got 4.88 gears with 31" tires and a stock t-case, so nothing has exploded on me yet. Yeah, if you want an extreme rock crawler SAS is the way to go.

But this thread isn't about that debate. This thread is about getting the most travel out of an IFS setup for those who have decided that IFS will get us where we want to go, and sharing the results (or looking for help).
How are the 4.88s with the 31s? I'm looking at putting on an Old Man Emu 2.5" lift and going to 4.88s with 33s. I have 31s now with stock 4.10 gears.

I know you weren't asking me but since this thread is way off topic i will answer your question.

I'm running 4.88's with 33/10.50/r15's and I love them. I just have a little 22r and everything else is stock. I can run 90mph if I want and I no longer downshift when I approach a incline. Best upgrade I've done so far.

I've only had it a few months but so far its the bomb!! The only problem I have is not having enough time over the weekends to be out roming around as much as I want

the rear was already higher than the front, so when I put this all on it pretty much leveled out - but I have ZUK coils in the back so thats why the rear was already high - then I put on some 2" wheel spacers to try and even out the width but the front is at least an inch or so wider.

I noticed that a few months back that our trucks look VERY similar - I think we should get them together to so they can meet.

You went with Blazeland right? As soon as i get a free weekend ill be throwing the chevy springs out back and getting rid of the ZUK mod. if it weren't for my other hobby (mountain Biking...recently broke both my bikes...) needing a small investment id get the Blazeland kit with this years tax return. I want to go out to Florence here soon and hit the coke ovens...hopefully after the spring swap...maybe we can get a group out there.

yup - i got a Blazeland kit. I have some Chevy springs to put on too, but I also have 6 other projects to get done on the truck and that one is at the bottom of the list because the rear is just fine for now and the others NEED to get done - this is more of a WANT to me.

I know that feeling of other hobbies - thats another part of my time issue - its snowboarding season and i've been trying to get on the mtn every weekend.

As for the Coke Ovens - there are so many rumors going around that they are now on private land and the current land owner does not want any tresspassing - One of the local groups I wheel with contacted him and got us permission to check them out a few months back but we had to agree to clean up all the trash - which we probably would have done anyway. Let me know when you want to go and I'll roll out there with you - and I'll see if I can get in touch with the land owner to get permission again so we're not tresspassing. I know that area very well and I have a friend who lives near there and he knows the area even better - there is a back way to the coke ovens that does not track on the private property too, so we could take that back way if we need to.

hey Jon - its a custom. I got it from a friend who made it for his 86 4Runner then decided he needed a winch so he built himself a new bumper and basically gave me this one - I got my rear bumper from the same guy when he bobbed the bed.

I think after seeing some of the photos I'll get some low pro bump stops and see about relaxing my torsion bars.

I'll need to do some trimming though to clear the 35"s.

Something cheaper that will keep me happy while I save for SAS parts.
