My dads 85 is wayyyy worse. The salt and mag chloride that road and bridge uses eats away at everything out here.

Picking up my solid front axle Landcruiser HJ60 on Thursday, can't wait to post flex pics in the IFS flex thread for 4Runner and trucks haha.
on road performance... bah, now as for the flex thing, i cannot see how removing the sway bar will give less overall flex. unless your considering that the rear will do most of the flex and take away from the front. in that case you should have said that removing the rear sway bar will under work your front suspension causing the vehicle to pivot on the front tires making a roll more likely... now if someone said that, it would be some mighty useful info..

but still, the overall flex will be more, just less useful. unless your climbing a hill. but then again.... never mind.

Removing the rear will dramatically increase the body roll of the runner. Adding LC coils to mine and removing the front bar increased the roll. I would not recommend running without the rear.

Haha, thanks! I thought it looked good too; didn't mind it at all when I bought it. But as soon as I took the top off for the summer, my friends were all over it telling me how great it looks without the top because of the color mismatch.

On road ride comfort isn't half bad, but my springs are sagged out and bottom out all the time. Until they do bottom out though, the ride is fine. Eventually, I'll be getting OMEs and I'll be laughing.

The rear coils on 4Runners are really flexy compared to the front. The rear axle will flex out with or without the swaybar attached. The front needs to be forced to flex. Leaving the rear swaybar attached means the front is forced to flex before the rear is on its bump stops. While this may not make for an increase in total travel, it makes the truck more drivable off road because its more balanced- the suspension flexes before the COG is shifted a tonne.

it's trucks like yours that make me consider making my next Toy a prerunner rather than a trail rig...

Hehehe good point bleeder. Is it considered a mall crawler when you build a truck to hit speed bumps at full speed?
