in my case the grinding noise did not mean it was weared out. it just needed lubrication, every now and then I do that and never had any more porblems with that bushing but the first time i heard that grinding noise I was doing about 80mph and almost took a crap in my pants haha.

So. I have run into the same problem on my 87 pickup. Does anyone know where to get the ifs bushing? Or are they the same as a sfa? Thanx. Am in a rush to get truck fixed for hunting trip.

it's been many years since i did mine, and there has been an update to junk the brass and put needle roller bearings in it instead. i want to say it was from toyota that i got mine, but i think the parts stores should have the needle rollers.
