idle mixture srew

hey all. just installed my weber 32/36 dgav carb on my 22r. im working on dialing it now and have run into some problems. the "idle mixture screw" seems to do absolutley nothing. the manual says to turn it in untill engine flucuation is heard and then back it out to get the leanest possible setting without changing idle. i can turn it all the way in and it will not be any different than if i took it almost all the way out.

does anyone know what causes this or how to fix it?

also if anyone has a pic of their 32/36 i would really appreciate it for a reference to what needs to be blocked off etc.

thanks a ton

Parker

i have not ruled out vacuum leaks. in fact i bet thats what it is. i kind of ghettoized the whole thing together untill i can go to napa for some caps. some hoses have screws in em and one important looking brass capped vaccume thing has a coke cap taped onto the end of it.

thats why i would REALLY appreciate some pics of someones weber for a reference.
