When I drive the 4runner at high speeds for 50 miles or more when I come to a stop the engine is running very rough and barely idling... like 200 rpms. If I stop and let it sit for 5 -10 mins. it runs okay. Otherwise, driving around town it's fine. I don't know much about it but, thought maybe it's the idle sensor??? 260,000 miles.

Any thoughts.

What is an idle sensor?

You sir need a service manual!

I'd guess plugged cat or a wiring issue.
