Idle drops at stop lights

Idle drops at stop lights
When I pull up to a stop light and shift to nuetral my idle drops down to about 500 so I nudge the footfeed and it comes back up to 900. this is in a 90 3.0 4 runner any ideas what the problem could be? I did a valve job on it last summer. I do no think it was doing this before that. But it was running so crapy I cannot remember.
