Where is the IAT sensor located on my 1995 Toyota 4runner 3.0L V6?

Thanks

iat location

the IAT is located in the vafm. very hard to find. i think the IAT is combined with the vafm wiring.

a friend of mine told me he was looking for the IAT to put a resistor on it to lower the temp to the ecu. he located it in the wiring, but never the actual sensor. he ended up putting the resistor on the ECT sensor for extra hp.

hope this helps...

Cool

^ the IAT sensor does next to nothing to the fuel trim, and ignition timing in OBD-I.
Putting a resistor on it is stupid. That causes the IAT signal to read hotter, which causes fuel & timing loss. (While the fuel loss would help an N/A car, the timing loss would negate it.) Even with OBD-I's weak tuning, it would be tuned out near instantly.

Dangling in the middle.
