Tanks bro! Honestly, it would have been sooo much easier to buy shackles from trail gear just because of all the harware headaches. But, nontheless, I love that I can say "I made em"! In the end I'm glad I did it and now I could whip up another set in 45 minutes.

how much does it cost for a set of new springs?

go get a drill and use it and then take it back when your done with it.. its a good way to get your money back... just say ya, this really does not do the job i was looking for...

you could just press the whole bushing out too...

freeze it.

I know I'm late to this because the job is done, But putting the shackle/spring in dry ice will make everything shrink and the pin/bolt will be easier to remove. You can buy (liquid wrench) freeze at auto parts stores, it works good on nuts and bolts.
