You have my prayers bro. I can't believe you could survive after seeing the car (been a paramedic for 18 years) but despite all you've sustained you are alive. Your delays aiting for help and then being transported to a hospital shows how strong you are. We call the first hour the golden hour - the time from injury to the surgery table. You totally missed that which is probably why you were dying in the first hospital. They did a hell of a job keeping you alive and getting you to the surgeon. Believe me, you are the exception my friend. I hope you never forget that.

Whew....good to hear you are on the road to recovery after that. Wow. I'm in shock just scrolling through this thread...that's unbelievable. I hope you get something from that truck driver....more than an apology. Makes my back injury look very insignificant compared to that. Good luck and all the best in the future! Wow...

Incredible story and good luck to you. To echo what thefreqofnature said, do everything you can to keep a positive attitude, especially about the head injury. I know it can be discouraging to feel slower than you used to be but I've watched two friends make recoveries from head injuries their doctors didn't think possible (cyclists hit by cars). They stayed active and stayed positive. It sounds like you already have a great attitude; you will get better.

Godspeed.

In reading this thread, I'm surprised he didn't blame George Bush for the accident. He sure liked to blame him for everything else...

It was several "reported posts" from the Off Topic section that lead up to it.
And repeated failures after warnings were given.

I really can't put a finger on why people have to use the best Toyota advise website to get on a soapbox regarding politics. We all have opinions, I say we just use YT for TOYOTA related issues, and maybe trail news.

i agree, but its also nice to know what other people think about the world we live in,but some people take it too far and don't know when to stop.

And that is why our dear friend 4jogger was banned. He was gently, and then not so gently warned about his incessant political tirades, coupled with his seeming eagarness to insult those who disagreed with him. His political views weren't the problem. It was his attitude towards those who disagreed with him.
