How to Replace seal on steering gear

How to Replace seal on steering gear

The upper seal where the steering column shaft goes into my gear box is leaking? Does anyone have any good instuctions on how to tear it apart and fix it?

If you go to the root of that directory you can bookmark the site for the whole FSM. It's 1993 but most all of it applies to 89-95 trucks and 90-95 4Runners.

I don't think so, the guy sells them for $50 though....or did the last time I checked. Mines been leaking for a while. I put a bottle of Lucas PS fluid and it slowed the leaking quiet a bit. The box still has a shine, but it no longer dripping to the ground when parked. I don't know too many pple who have tried to rebuild theirs....good luck an take lots of pictures.
