4.88's.

I ran 4.88's and 28's for a year. It was AWESOME. I could actually climb hills. I loved it. I like the 33's too, but I don't have the get up and go that I had with the 28's.

Hwy was fine. I never drive above 70 mph anyway, so it didn't bother me in the least. 75 was around 3000-3300 RPM, IIRC.

First - if you ever actually 'wheel, that 1" of clearance under the diff is priceless.

Second - 4.56 and 31's is STOCK for our year-model trucks.

Third - the difference is only a couple hundred RPM. It's not like you're gonna be knocking the rev limiter to do the speed limit! That couple hundred RPM makes a big difference in the driveability of the truck

Next - those who say changing one ratio (for me 4.56 to 4.88) haven't done it, or at least not on a 22RE or 3VZE truck. IT MAKES A HUGE DIFFERENCE.

Lastly - I did front/rear ARB's and gears for ~$2500 installed. IIRC it was $150 per axle for install.
