How do you set the throttle stop screw? 94 22re

I have a 94 22re pickup that the throttle stop screw was completely backed off.
When the truck was driven while warm, the throttle body would expand, allowing the butterfly valve to close a little more than normal, and when it cooled down and you went to drive it about a day later, the butterfly would be stuck and you would have to stomp the gas pedal hard to get it to brake free.

I completely soaked, and cleaned the throttle body, it is not carbon fouling.
I adjusted the throttle stop screw to where it just barely held the butterfly open and now the butterfly doesn't stick open anymore.

What is the proper way to adjust it?
thanks,
Derek

I have asked this in a round about way a few times....

I don't know the starting spot, brand new rebuild.

On my motorcycle it is in all the way out 3 turns..... adjust as needed.

I await better brains.

pretty sure you gotta have vacuum applied to the tb in order to set the stop screw properly... just like the tps....

From the FSM on the 88 22re, the TB adjustment procedure is:

a) After loosening the lock nut of the throttle stop screw, loosen the stop screw until it is about to touch at the lever.

b) Have the throttle stopper screw touch the lever. Then screw it in 1/4 turns and lock it with the lock nut.

c) After installation of the throttle body, make sure that the engine RPM does not change even if the vacuum hose to the vacuum advance port is pinched.

Thanks a ton RoadKill.
I have a service manual for a 93, but I couldn't find it in the engine section.
