Question Hmmm.. Will 2WD Corner Lights Fit A 4WD ??

As the title asks; will the corner lights on a 2wd fit the 4wd pickups?

Thanks in advance!

Ah..I thought this section was just 89-95! lol It's for a 89-95 pickup. I believe a 90 to be exact.

Well I found out the hard way...Nope, not for me, I have a 92 pickup. They said the fenders were off a 93.
I got a pair of fenders off Craig's list and after having everything apart and started to put back together that the fenders were a bit different. Ok so what no big deal, different year.
Then I discovered that they were from a 2wd not a 4wd. They were wider at the bottom. So I put the marker lights in (about midnight) and they didn't fit right. Well I had them in the wrong side because the wide part is on the bottom of a 2wd and on a 4wd it's on top.
I made them work for now but I'm not happy with the setup. I'll have picts later.

2wd

4wd

I wish I knew this ahead of time...

You have no idea how ticked off I was about this. I did put a 91 front bumper on and I really do like it.
I can't believe that they make the fenders so different...just does not make sense to me!

Cuz the 4wd are flared to make room for bigger tires. It is common when lowering a truck to switch to 4wd fenders, they look better and clear more tire. You can always tell the difference cuz 2wd corner light slants down (to the ground) and 4wd slant up (to the sky). Thats how I remember it.

I always thought the 2wd fenders looked goofy. The corner lights reminded me of a sedan, and the non flared fender (the bed is flared on 2wd and 4wd trucks) doesnt really look right IMO. Makes it kinda look like a 90's chevy with the narrow front look...

All I know is that they are a pain in the @$$ to try and match up when cutting and welding the original to make 1 good one with 2 so-so.

***Warning Hijack***

So if you work them right they don't look too bad...Just a fix for now, not a pertinent thing. Here are some before and after...Looks a bit better now.

actually, 2wd cornering lights are 4wd lights upside down

i know because i ordered a 4wd cornering light for the driver side, which is actually just the 2wd passenger side cornering light. It fit on, which was confusing...

The are different as you can see from my mutations...they fit but not quite right. It sucks but I had to work with what I had. I don't think it's all that terrible. Better than it was, that's for sure. I just don't have to worry about denting these ones. They will be replaced in the near future anyway.
