Ive recently been staioned in Japan and the suv of choice for these guys is the hilux. Will 4runner performance, headers, lockers, exhausts, etc. fit the jap. spec Hilux?

 

Depends on the motor. Over there you've got the choice of the 3.0L TD. I'd pick that one over the other motors offered as its got some good grunt and good on fuel as well. I'm quite sure there are computer chips for it and do some intercooler and exhaust work on it and you'll be suprised. I put one in my pickup and it goes like no tomorrow. The lockers will work fine same diffs. Some Hilux's came with LSDs stock.

 

Man you'd be pretty happy to have a Hilux back here in the states. I'm bummed i never pickedone up when I was down in new zealand! Why Toyota never sold the Hilux Deisel in the states is beyond me...
