can't be for sure I'm on the original engine (had the valve cover off and the top end looked pretty clean, but that don't mean much with a well maintained engine)...
but I just turned 240,900 miles earlier today. will be 241K+ by the time I get home tomorrow or the next day.
(It's a long way from Texico to California)

Man I wish I had a picture of my odometer! I swapped out my original 22re for a 22RTE two months ago in my 4Runner. The original engine had 363,000 miles on it. And it still ran great. It just had no power, lots of blow-by, and consumed quite a bit of oil. It had original everything. Tranny, engine, transfer case. I did drown 3 alternators since I got it, but that's all I've had to replace. I bought it from the original owner a year ago. I bought it for $300 btw

177,000!!!!

The last time I had a truck go this many miles it was a Ford diesel......

I don't know what the PO did but from the way it ran when I bought it I doubt they did anything other than oil changes. So far I've replaced the front main seal, one injector, the radiator, an alternator (only lasted 175,xxx miles that POS ), the O2 sensor and the lower intake gasket. Of course if I'd known the damn intake gasket was bad then I wouldn't have replaced the O2/injector/adjusted the TPS/AFM etc.......

These things are pretty darn tough if you maintain them.

My '86 has 169,XXX
I've replaced the water pump, and the thermostat the whole time I've owned it.

My '95 has 300,XXX
Nothing has been replaced but the brakes, water pump, and other misc things since my brother bought it in 2001.

I used to own a '73 Ford Econoline that had 385,XXX
Ran on five cylinders, burned a quart of oil every 1000 miles, leaked every fluid imagineable, and smoked like hell. Never left me stranded though. I used to substitute a big can of engine restore for a quart of oil every oil change, cut the oil burning in half, those 240 I6's are indestructable!

318,000.....a freeze-out plug on the backside of the pass side head rusted out and i have the heads off right now (no way to get to it otherwise). I went ahead and pulled both heads off and having a valve job done. Be putting it back together next weekend hopefully.

Before the freeze-out plug issue, this thing was so stock it still had the factory compression-type clamps on the radiator hoses!

EDIT: oh yeah, it's an '89 3.0 2wd......

1990 4Runner - 212,000, V6 Auto, original head gaskets
1990 Pickup - odo says 198,700, truck was run with 4.10's and 31's for years, so it easily has 200k haha. the truck is also a V6 auto and is also running the original head gaskets. Though the head gaskets leak oil, badly haha...

asbestos rocks!

Don't know how many PO mine had or what's been done to it.

226,XXX...3.oL, Auto. Had it one year now. Tune up and oil change, couple (3 or 4) air filters, leafs and shocks.

No plans for repairs till it breaks. motor is good, leaks PS fluid. All the money I have put into it has been accessories or to help it offroad.
