This has never came up before, has it? Turboing a 3.o?
This is a two-parter...
And old engines love Turbo's, right? You can put Turbo's on old engines all day, they love it, right?
And especially the HG prone 3.0, right? That can't keep a head gasket on it, NATURALLY aspirated... Right?
And it's not like for the money you can get the bored out 3.4 and put in it, right?
Just go all out on a POS and slap that bad boy and mega squirt on it!

And I guess you're saying YOU wouldn't do it? Well guess what, we don't all have to do what you would or wouldn't, so go troll some other thread because as you can see from the posts there are people interested in it.

Well this is a surprise! A person with no vested interest telling someone to do whatever they want!
"Hi, I wanna try jumping off a bridge with wings made out of card board, think it'll work?"
Someone on a forum: "Sure, go right ahead! None, not one bit of skin off my back!"
PS, Turboing a 3VZ is not a new subject around here...
Same rules apply there that do in this "new subject"
Bad idea... But you don't have to be responsible for it.

Actually, I thought I was talking about Turbocharging the 3VE-FE (Check out the picture at the begining of the post).......Did you miss that part? If I can get the engine installed properly, half the battle will be won...

Latest,
Finally got my 3VZE oil pan back from the engine wash and installed it on the 3VZ-FE. Its a perfect fit. The trick will be modifying or building an oil pickup for the 3VZ-FE that will fit the 3VZE pan. The 3VZE has a lower profile pan in order to clear the steering rods and transfer case and a oil pump inlet to allow for clearance here (All of which the 3VZ-FE does not have to worry about) Perhaps using the oil pump from a 5VZ-FE 4X4 would work? Anybody know here. If not I'll just build one to work.

Ok all,
The weather finally let me work in above freezing temps. I got the 3VZ-FE installed to where I can figure out the motor mounts. A couple of things to note here is that The 3VZE 4X4 oil pan will work. The oil pick up will have to be modified as mentioned before but thats ok. The oil filter mount will have to be modified to a remote or an aluminum adapter will have to be fabbed. There is room for this so maybe this is how I will go. Oil pressure sender will have be relocated and mounts will have to allow for dipstick to still work.

I'm new to the car world, can you turbocharge any car? I've got a pretty basic '02 toyota corolla... i've got some friends who are really into cars and are always talking about how great this site called dwperformance.com is... i was checking it out and i don't know enough about all of this stuff to know if what products would be best for me... any suggestions?
