Sorry, I had just read through the thread when I posted that question. Up above Terrys87 has posted a pic of the plug with the yellow wires that I'm talking about. On mine the yellow wires plug into the other plug end, but the wires on the other side of the plug are a different color. Scroll up and you can see the pic with the plug with the yellow wires that I'm talking about.

My headlights started doing the same as you guy's did... I pulled and cleaned the contacts, but no joy...
A problem well-stated is a problem halfway to being solved.

People above have various symptoms. Why don't you describe exactly what's going on with yours? What do you do and what should be happening but not happening?

I see. That white connector has nothing to do with the lights. That's for the wipers.

Go schematic for you truck? If not, see schematic I posted ^^^

Well, that's the thing... I don't think I'm having any problems. Everything seems to work. I did notice that the wires went to the wipers. I still have the delay, washer, ect. I was just wondering if anyone knew what the were for since the other wiper/headlight switch assy. didn't have those wires and I also noticed that the other '86 assy. that I put in had one less wire/pin inside the plug assy. where the one steering harness plugs into the 2 black plugs going under the dash. I just didn't want to find out later that something didn't work right or not at all after it was all back together. I didn't try to start the truck though, come to think of it. I just turned the switch to "RUN"position to check the other things.

You had a problem...

...I checked operation of everything with out starting the truck and everything seemed to work.
You do not have a problem...

I'm concerned that I may find that something doesn't work after I get it all back together...
If it ain't broke, don't fix it
